The challenge
A large national law firm ran 300 servers in its own datacenter, with hardware reaching end of life and rising maintenance and energy costs. The goal was to move to the cloud without putting the legal security of sensitive documents at risk or interrupting client service.
What we did
Full assessment with Azure Migrate and dependency mapping across servers
Design of a secure landing zone, with governance, networking and access control
Wave-based migration of the 300 servers, grouped by criticality and dependency
Validation and a rollback plan for every wave, with cutover outside peak hours
Results
300 servers migrated to Azure with no interruption to operations
Legal security and compliance preserved from start to finish
Own datacenter decommissioned, cutting infrastructure costs
